content margins if my first guess.........

Surely content margins, the size of the taskbar need to fit the size (height) of the start button (graphics)

i had the problems lately but don't remember where exactly you need to change things.

is this vista and or xp?....... sometimes restarting the pc can kick things into order.....im guessing you hve checked the transparency button........ i hope this helps

Its Vista - ive rebooted and still getting the same thing - ive played about with the contenct margins but am not sure where the top horizontal ones are compared to the bottom horizontal.    As its perfect on the bottom bar im unsure what to change to make it work on the top taskbar

Thanks for the help everyone - ive not solved it but ive tested the skin on 2 other vista computers and an XP one and it doesnt come up on them so it must be a setting on my pc thats messed up.   Strange one though
